Fungal Biology and Biotechnology operates a single-blind peer-review system, where the reviewers are aware of the names and affiliations of the authors, but the reviewer reports provided to authors are anonymous.
The benefit of single-blind peer review is that it is the traditional model of peer review that many reviewers are comfortable with, and it facilitates a dispassionate critique of a manuscript.
Edited by Vera Meyer and Alexander Idnurm, Fungal Biology and Biotechnology is supported by an expert Editorial Board.
Manuscripts will be reviewed by internationally recognized experts in the field, selected in part from the Editorial Board. Reviews will be rapid and the suitability of a manuscript for publication will be assessed solely on criteria of scientific excellence. Final decisions will be made by the Editors-in-Chief and Senior Editors and may include accept, reject, accept following minor revision and resubmit after major revision and further review.
