The microorganism should a be non-pathogenic, b be sporulating, c be capable of vegetative growth (for example, with a filamentous cellular morphology), d be able to grow in the alkaline concrete environment (CH: calcium hydroxide, C–S–H: calcium silicate hydrates) and e promote CaCO3 precipitation (zoom on hyphal tip)
