Phenotypic screening of conditional expression mutants reveals growth defects and sensitivity to abiotic stress. 1 × 105–1 × 103 spores/ml were inoculated in 10 µl volumes onto MM supplemented with various concentrations of Dox. Plates were incubated at indicated temperature in the dark, and images captured after 3 days (30 °C) or 6 days (MM 42 °C). Representative images are shown for technically triplicated experiments. Plates were supplemented with hydrogen peroxide as indicated
