Morphological phenotypes of T. reesei K1 and Δrac1 strains in liquid cultures on different carbon sources. Δrac1 strains were compared to the cellulase overexpressing reference K1 at 9 and 27 h in shake flask cultivations on d-glucose, lactose and cellulose. At 9 h the spores were germinating in the shake flasks. At 27 h the mycelium was matured. The mycelium in the cellulose cultures was stained with cotton blue for enhancing the contrast
