The pH was adjusted to 6.0 with 1 M NaOH prior to sterilization; Glc: D-glucose monohydrate, Asn: L-asparagine, Asp: L-aspartic acid, MgSO4: magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, yeast: yeast extract, TE: trace elements solution (5 mg L-1 CuSO4·5 H2O, 80 mg L-1 FeCl3·6 H2O, 90 mg L-1 ZnSO4·7 H2O, 30 mg L-1 MnSO4·H2O, and 0.4 g L-1 EDTA), vit: BME vitamins solution or after [12] (VER), medium NL-D5-G15 (highlighted in bold) was used for flux analysis (cf. Figure 6).
